The Prophet is a life-long Democrat -- I have voted for Democrats since I started voting in 1965. Now, I'll sit out the 2008 election.
Why?
Because the Democratic leadership has no spine -- they have decided not to pursue impeachment against George Bush and now they have rolled over on the war in Iraq.
Yesterday, Democratic majorities in both the House and Senate rolled over like lap-dogs and voted to give George Bush the money he wants to continue the useless war in Iraq. Oh, I know -- Pelosi and Reid are saying, well, it's not really a victory for Bush, just wait until September. Bullshit. In September, Bush will roll them again.
And did anyone see what Senators Clinton and Obama did? They passed and did not vote -- then -- when it was clear the bill would pass, they voted "No." If these two clowns had any bakcbones, they would have voted "No" the first time around.
If the Democratic Party nominates either Bill Richardson or Al Gore, then I'll vote -- but the current crop of candidates is nothing but a gang of spineless suits.
