Inform yourself -- the threat from the "religious right"

The real threat to this nation has nothing to do with "Islamic terrorists" or other boogeymen.

Oh, yes, The Prophet understands that Islamic terrorists cost this nation dearly on 11 September 2001 as they destroyed 3,000 lives, destroyed the World Trade Center, and attacked the Pentagon. The Prophet does not seek to belittle the horror of that attack.

HOWEVER -- we must recognize that the 9-11 attacks, as horrible as they were, did nothing to destroy the fundamentals of this nation. As a result of the 9-11 attacks -- no elections were canceled; no troops took over our newspapers and broadcast stations; the Constitution was not shredded. We can rebuild buildings and we can mourn and remember the dead. But our nation stands as strong as ever.

At least that's the way it appears.

In fact, this nation is under attack from a more sinister force than all the Islamic terrorists in the universe. Our fundamentals are under attack from a homegrown theocracy -- a gaggle of groups and individuals who typically referred to as the "religious right" are the real threat to this nation.

Why? Because they seek to replace our laws with their Bible; replace public schools with religious schools; replace science with blind faith and mythology; enslave women to their theology.
